  2. The default install location is under the user profile that is logged in eg: C:\Users\<username of logged in user>\AppData\Local\Programs\slyncy
Note that for Cornerstone, the server MUST be logged in and running as this user for the app to be able to work! So make sure it is installed under a user profile that is logged in on a daily basis.

  3. Please note: If you do not have access to Profit Diagnostix please contact us at support@profitdiagnostix.com so we can send you the download link.
After installing check the Windows tray if the Slyncy Agent is running - note that on some versions of windows, the tray icon is not visible. You should also open task manager and check it the program ‘OpenJDK Platform binary’ is running

  1. Make sure that you configure the Slyncy Agent to automatically start after booting windows (Autostart) in case the Server has to be restarted. In more recent installations, the Slyncy Desktop program is automatically added to the list of startup programs so it should restart every time the server restarts.

Troubleshooting:

In some cases (e.g. server updates) the Profit Diagnostix datasource log shows the error like :

"STATUS: Invalid ODBC handle"

This issue is related to changes in the Windows 64 bit vs 32 bit architecture.

To fix this the appropriate DLL files have to be copied into the Slyncy programm folder to replace the old DLL files. The DLL files can be downloaded here:

  • Stop the Slyncy Agent

  • Locate the program folder of the Slyncy Agent that contains the DLL files (e.g. “dbjdbc16.dll”).
    This is usually “C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Programs\slyncy” or "c:/program files/slyncy/libs".

  • Extract the files from the ZIP archive and copy ALL 4 of them into the appropriate folder

  • Restart the Slyncy Agent
